I forgot to say that it is Harriet who makes this trip possible. We are transporting her to her new home in Los Angeles. Three months ago, Harriet was starved to skin and bones and on death row at the Abbyville pound. The day before she was due to be executed, Miss Gretchen rescued her and gave her to us to foster. Now we bring her to her new home in the city of Angels. Harriet is a special dog. She is a super model...a survivor. We are in Texas, and she helps us to appreciate the notion of stopping to smell the flowers.
